What is the WCU Battle of the Decades?
WCU Battle of the Decades is a yearlong challenge encouraging you and your fellow WCU alumni to support your alma mater. By making a gift to any area of the University, you will be boosting your graduation decade's alumni participation rate. The decade with the highest alumni participation rate will be awarded a trophy at a 2017 alumni event.
The challenge runs from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017.
I already gave this year. Am I counted?
Any undergraduate or graduate alumnus that makes a gift from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017 will be counted.
My spouse and I are both alums. Do we each need to donate?
No, if one of you makes a gift, you will both be counted toward your individual graduation decades.
I received my undergraduate and graduate degree from WCU and I am on the cusp of two decades. Which decade will I be counted under?
You will be counted under the decade that you received your undergraduate degree.
Where does my donation go?
100% of your gift will go to the area(s) you choose. Critically important gift designations include the Alumni Scholarship, Catamount Club, General Scholarships, or the Loyalty Fund.
